Garmin Forerunner 301 GPS Watch Review

I have recently purchased a Garmin Forerunner 301 GPS Watch after having used other heart rate monitors for about a year. The heart rate monitor was excellent and certainly useful, but the Garmin Forerunner 301 is a completely different animal. So different, that there really isn't any fair comparison at all.

If you live in a large city, a forested area, or anywhere with obstructions, then it will please you to know that the Garmin Forerunner 301 GPS Watch has excellent reception and can lock onto satellites quickly, often within the first minute of turning it on, letting you get to your workout faster. If you live near hills, the Forerunner 301 is excellent for climbs, and remains accurate going both uphill and downhill.

The Garmin Forerunner 301 GPS Watch’s display is wonderful. The display is not big and bulky, hindering your arm movements and being bothersome during your exercise routines.
